Privacy Policy
Your trust matters. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: July 2, 2026
1.Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how TranSpendly ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our financial transparency platform, including our websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2.Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated as you use the Service:
- Account information: name, email address, password, and profile details.
- Organizational data: workspaces, projects, expenses, receipts, documents, budgets, milestones, payees, and reports that you or your team create.
- Billing information: subscription plan and payment records. Card details are tokenized and processed by our payment provider — we never store full card numbers.
- Usage and device data: log data, IP address, browser type, and interactions with the Service, used to operate and improve it.
3.How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Process transactions and manage subscriptions.
- Send transactional emails, security alerts, and (with your consent) product updates.
- Generate the public transparency pages and reports you choose to publish.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4.Public Transparency Pages
A core feature of the Service lets you publish transparency pages that are viewable without an account. You control what becomes public. Only the fields and modules you explicitly enable are shown; internal notes, payee contact details, and draft content are never exposed. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to publish the information you make public.
5.How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Service providers who host infrastructure, process payments, send email, and provide analytics and error monitoring, under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Other members of your workspace, according to the roles and permissions you configure.
- External auditors or reviewers you explicitly invite.
- Authorities when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public.
6.Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Certain records are retained longer where required for legal, tax, accounting, or audit-trail purposes. You may request deletion of your account, subject to these obligations.
7.Data Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, tokenized payment handling, and short-lived signed links for file access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8.Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many of these directly in your account settings, or by contacting us.
9.International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data across borders, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with applicable law.
10.Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
11.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
